BFM TV - Urban Art Riviera episode 4: César Malfi invites Cyrille Gouyette and Agnès Boquet

For this new edition of Urban Art Riviera, César Malfi invites Agnès Boquet and Cyrille Gouyette to present the 7th edition of “Saint Tropez Couleur Bleu”.

Agnès Boquet founded this event in 2018, a unique space where urban art and environmental awareness meet to educate and raise awareness about the fragility of the oceans.

Each year, an urban artist is invited to make the lighthouse their canvas to both honour Saint-Tropez’s history and draw attention to the crucial need to protect our precious marine ecosystems. Saint Tropez Couleur Bleu thus becomes much more than an artistic event; it embodies commitment to a crucial global cause.

During the show, César Malfi delves into the heart of the formidable technical challenge that a lighthouse can represent as a support for creation, as well as the symbolic beauty of such a project for an artist.

Cyrille Gouyette, the artistic director of the “Saint Tropez Couleur Bleu”, is both an art historian and a tireless enthusiast of contemporary street art. Each year, with impressive meticulousness, he selects the artists whose profiles and works resonate best with the themes of the festival.

Under his artistic direction, the “Saint Tropez Couleur Bleu” becomes an open-air gallery where contemporary artistic expression meets the gaze of spectators from all over the world.

In addition to his duties for this project, Cyrille Gouyette is also the artistic director of the Mur Oberkampf in Paris, a place that welcomes a new street artist every week. With César Malfi, they discuss the imminent arrival of a similar concept in Nice that will delight all street art lovers. Join us soon to find out more!
